It's probably worth dropping the gas tank to have a look at it's condition. I'll bet it needs some cleaning and probably sealing.

Keep an eye out for wet spots on the inside of the tires. Trucks that have been sitting for a long time usually have leaking wheel cylinders.

The trunnion bearings in the front axle often need replacing. Don't know what the trunnion bearings are and how to replace them? Then you probably need to learn a little more even if you are an experienced mechanic.

Brakes and a front axle rebuild can cost you over a thousand dollars and a whole lot of time. Old tires? Then you are looking at another chunk of change.

You didn't mention the mileage on the truck, but unless someone has being doing a lot of work on it, there are probably many things you will need to do to get it into good shape.

The truck is nice as it is. Don't start tearing the truck apart then get in over your head on a restoration. Learn a lesson from the guy you bought it from and realistically consider your time, skills and resources.
