  • Emergency Flashers

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for emergency flashers in a 68 WM300? It's not shown in my 67 & 68 shop manuals.

What type of directional switch do you have?

      Emergency Flasher

It is factory equipped with an Auto Lamp 9000, a seperate emergency flasher switch and indicator light on the dash. Unfortunatly the wiring off the emergency flasher switch is missing.

Not Sure if this will help you as it's all I can find here in my accumulated mess.

This is of a Signal-Stat "Flarestat" Flasher add on kit.
        Most were wired the same.
I have nothing with Auto Lamp here.
        Hope the copy is legible.

              Emergency Flasher

Thanks for all the help. The factory switch wires in similar to the Signal Stat Flarestat. After searching thru our Fire House, we found the missing emergency flasher factory harness. It's a four wire harness that plugs into the flasher switch and tees between the signal switch harness and the chassis harness. Each wire has a male and female molded rubber bullet connector at the chassis end so that you just unplug the turn signal wires and plug the flasher harness in between.

Both of our 60's WM300s have a switch on the dash which says "Emergency Warning." I always assumed this was factory, but they were built into firetrucks by Fararr when they were new, so I guess maybe not!
