Auto body shop is ready to stretch the cab. Hope it all goes well.

WOW, that is in good shape.

Body parts cleaned up. They looked a lot better than I expected. One small pin hole at the top back of cab but knew it was there before.

Removed the cab today so it can be media blasted and primed. I hope to have it at a shop that can extend it before I have to go back overseas next week. The hope on the extension is so a big guy like myself can sit in it without having to eat the steering wheel.

I took the steering wheel, column, and the gear box off as a whole assembly once I had the cab tilted towards the rear.

Sorry for the rotated photos. I will hopefully figure that issue out sooner or later.

Steering wheel puller

Day two on the disassemble. Running boards with there braces have been removed. Doors are off- that was a battle getting one of the lower door pins out. The other three came easier. I still have to remove the steering wheel, levers and knobs on the inside. Front fenders and the hood are off along with the radiator and grill. Slow but steady progress.

The lever with the strap on it is the transfer case Hi/Lo lever.
Forward, where it is now is high or direct drive range.

The lever in front of it is the front axle engagement lever.
It is currently disengaged.
You pull that lever back to engage the front(4x4).

Notice that if you pull the hi/lo lever to Low, it automatically engages the front.

The lever to the left of the shifter with the lock controls the winch
PTO to wind or unwind.

The wood blocks were factory spacer/filler for the running boards.

You need to get some manuals. They help a lot.

4 levers that I would like to know more about. One is strapped down while the one on the far side of the shifter has hinges at the floor to keep it from moving but could be lifted when necessary. Sorry for the poor photo.

Well I finally started my project today. Stripped what was left of the interior out with help. Getting the door glass out was a battle but I can only imagine there was an easy way. Thought I would keep the side windows as they came but I am rethinking that as I wonder if I could get a reasonable seal on them without having them whistle as I run down the road.

I seem to have more levers than I imagined. Can some one tell me what they all did.

I also found these wooden blocks under the running boards. Should I have expected these?
