I am new to the forum, but not new Mopar. First a little background- I have a 1989 D-150 4x4. 318 w/727. I just got done doin a complete swap from EFI to Carb. It now has an Edelbrock 600 with a standard 4-bbl intake. Honestly more of a pain than what I thought it would be.
Anyway my first question is ever since the swap the truck will not idle correctly. Either too lean or too rich, there is no happy median. The carb was completely re-built by a trusted Carb Specialist here locally. I have done everything under the sun to get this truck to stop going through plugs like water. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Lastly is on the drivetrain. Does anyone know what the factory stall is on this truck. It feels like the TC is going out but am not sure if it is just because of it having a higher stall. I am getting shutter on take off, but only in Drive. If I drop it down to first it does fine. Fluid full and good and doesnt smell burnt.
Sorry for such a long post, but I am running out of ideas. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
