This is the factory block on my 1 ton. It appears like 2 blocks because of a casting line in the middle. A closer look shows that the bump stop mount is full height (or nearly) of the block. This is not 2 blocks stacked or welded.

Here is the picture from my 1 ton. Notice the line that looks like 2 blocks welded. This is a casting line from the mold when it was poured.

Don't know. I should measure it because you asked. I will let you know.

Depending upon the model, year and weight rating, the blocks were 3", 4", 5" and in rare cases 6". The blocks have centering pins, inside, but the factory never installed stacked blocks.

If your compliance officer still has issues show him this photo from the states, if that doesn't do the trick, I can load a sketch from the Factory Service Manual.
From my original post...wayy...backk...on the first page of this thread...
The size of the block varies by truck rating. His 1 ton may be 5" or 6".

Yes it is a 6. I measured last night. Would have photographed it but I couldn't lean over, hold the tape, and take a pic that was decent.

Cool. Thats twice the height of the blocks on my M880 with overloads.
