1967 w200, whats is ? & how doesthe copper connect at the end of steering column & steering box connection work ?. It looks like is part of the horn. any pictures would help

This weekend coming , still need help on steering column: the connection between the gear box & shaft, there is small copper strap that goes somewhere to keep the ground for horn to work, thru the belt bushing isolator, need info on how that works ???.

rag joint??
I can look at a couple of
loose gear boxes with the
coupling and rag joints
attached if you'd like.
