This weekend coming , still need help on steering column: the connection between the gear box & shaft, there is small copper strap that goes somewhere to keep the ground for horn to work, thru the belt bushing isolator, need info on how that works ???.

Is it a bolted connection at either end? Can you pull the steering column out as an assembly and avoid this problem?

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

        How it works as in??....
How it is attached to the
        rag joint??

I can look at a couple of
        loose gear boxes with the
        coupling and rag joints
        attached if you'd like.

        You could try going to
        NAPA Online and looking
        up this part. There was
        a discussion on this item
a couple of days ago on
        the www.sweptline.org
        Sweptline Truck site.
