Are these factory or did someone cut up some trucks and put them together?

No, they are not factory, they were done by coachbuilder type firms.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Thanks Gordon. Kinda depressing, I was hoping they were factory but I had a pretty good feeling they weren't.

Nice it's off to hunt down the next truck. What do y'all think of the 60's W500 Crew Cab? What's it weight rating too, anyone know?

Weight capacity or curb weight? I think capacity is 20,000lbs

There is a factory version - I think.

I used to see one in France, near Paris, the owner turned up on the Power Wagon Forum.

It looks pretty much like the trucks above, but the 'body' looked more like a short Carryall shell than the ones pictured, which look like two cabs coachbuilt into one.

Anyone remember the french guy on the PW Forum with one of these? It was orange when I last saw it, years back in the 1990s. It certainly wasn't a coachbuilt effort as such, and looks to have left the factory that way.

              That looks like the one

See how the second door pair are noticably different, and the extra roof seam where you would find it on a van or Carryall?
