Can anybody tell if dana 44 axle is strongly worse than that chrysler axle is my truck, ?

I would have to say just by the differences in size of the ring gear and axle shafts that the Dana 44 is a 'weaker' axle stock for stock.... that being said there has been tremendous advances in the aftermarket for the Dana 44 with regards to Alloy axles and nearly unbreakable U-joints (CTM, OX, Longfield ,etc.)
the availability of parts for the Dana 44 is also much greater, mostly because they are newer axles generally.
