            Okay,now I'm gonna have to dig around,try to find a part number on mine and talk to my alt guy.Believe me I dang melted my entire wiring harness down.

              yah what it could be is the old voltage regulator was just gettin old and when you juiced it with the 100amp it just popped.

                      Pulled one out of the box.It has a small screw in the back sticking out of the gell stuff to adjust the voltage as well.
