    John, I had a similar problem several years ago, how i fixed it, pull the tank either have it cleaned out at a radiator shop or thoroughly rinse it with diluted muriatic acid seal it with the stuff from caswell plating, tried a few sealers, thios is 2 component and is in 3 of my trucks. next, the stock fuel filter in these is basically a stack of brass washers, I got a marine fuel filter made by mallory with a spin on filter, also a water seperator, available at advance auto parts or any marina. I am currently running a fish carb instead of the stocker but no more fuel system troubles. I do change the filter element about once a year. I think the marine filter sells for about $30.00

      Thanks, Matt. I’ve moved on from gasoline, though. It’s not only the ethanol/rusty lines issues that have led me down the electric truck route. It’s also the long-term viability of a gasoline powered vintage vehicle. I don’t want my beloved M37 to become a cash for clunkers victim after I’m gone.
