    field testing

Maybe the Lock-right & ARB owners can meet up somewhere & chase each other through the sticks, over the mountain, and down the highway til somebody tears something up, then the loser agrees to repair his ride with the winner's choice of locker.

Charles - I did not edit my post (#39). Those words are all mine and nothing has been removed. I don't shy away from confrontation, and I don't generally tolerate crap for very long. You took it upon yourself to accuse me, in your own words: "I can tell you have been the luckiest man alive or either very untruthful. I expect the later... " (Post #41, second paragraph)

Thats not sugar coating, thats straight forward disrespect, Chuck. I don't post here expecting to put up with that. I can tolerate the Joe Friday "nothing but the facts" delivery, but if you can't say anything nice - keep your yap shut. And I won't bother you at work Charles to talk about the matter. You're not important enough to me to warrant spending a nickel on a long distance call, let alone the cash output to fly from the west coast of Canada, all the way to North Carolina. Sorry to let you down.

Now that I'm finished with rebuttals, here are my final thoughts on the matter:

I have an easy solution to the whole problem. If you need a locking diff, pick whichever fits your budget, needs and most importantly, availability. After said diff is installed, put in a call to Moser Engineering, or Dutchman Motorsports,( or your favorite Axle supply company) and have a new set of axle shafts forged. They are quite reasonably priced, and can be made with all the best forging technologies, such as Chromoly, Cryogenic's, gun drilling, and whatever else you figure you need. The weak link, as we've all finally beaten to death, and proven, is not the differential, its the axle shaft. If your going to upgrade the diff, might as well remove the suprise of a broken axleshaft and upgrade them as well.

Anyone that reads this thread now will hopefully be able to make an informed decision, and perhaps have a chuckle or two at the expense of our ego's....
