  • Adhesives For Metals

I once read or heard about a super strong adhesive for mating metal surfaces together. I want to narrow a pair of fender extensions with a small overlap and add a few rivets that would be hidden under the lip of the bed.

Does anyone know about this adhesive? Thanks, Steve

Try Devcon. Buy and use rubber gloves or you will be wearing it a long time.
It is a two part epoxy metal that can be used to repair broken metal parts and it can be machined once it cures.
I believe Grainger carries it and most serious industrial supply houses will have it or a competing brand.
If moulding parts don't buy their release agent. It's just relabled Pam cooking spray.

Autobody supply places will probably have some options too. I know Eastwood offers a "patch kit" that contains a metal adhesive for doing sheet metal repairs that contains an adhesive/sealer as well.
