As pathetic as school grades are, they should be worse, as "text-testing" is rampant.
I get very frustrated with my wife, as she is constantly texting me..."Pick up the phone and call me!" I say, but she texts back, "I can't, I'm working..."
Spelling and formal communications are becoming a lost art.

I'll be the first to admit that technology is leaving me behind, and I'm a member of the video game generation! I try to have as little to do with facebook as possible, as there is virtually nothing relevant to the whole site, other than to fake an IQ test to see who really is better at wasting time.
I don't own a cell phone or a blackberry, due to the fact that I'm not really important enough in my own eyes for someone to "need" to get ahold of me 24/7 no matter where I am on the planet. I have a home phone, with a voice mail box. Good enough. And I've never sent a text message...ever...
There are days when I wish my phone still had a cord on it so I could find the darn thing when its ringing! I have a multi-funtion remote that probably has more processing power than what put Neil Armstrong on the moon, and all it does for me is turn the TV on and change the channel. Kind of a waste, but it came with the Cable box so I'll use it.
I manage to waste enough time throughout the year in front of the xbox, or the computer surfing for parts and info about my various projects. The free time that I do have, I would rather spend with people in person, than holed up infront of the computer screen for several hours typing to people that I could just talk to instead.
I don't feel it's necessary to spend time reading about the mundane lives of people who feel the need to waste time posting about the day to day life for the world to see. While this and much more useless information is available on the social network of choice, I prefer to talk to people in person. Its much more human to see a response, rather than reading one.
As for Twitter, I've never been on their site, but I hear that its an excellent trap for Twits....
Pun intended...;)
