  • Lift Laws

Anyone have any experience with special modification type state inspections? I put the lift on the 880 and she's due for state inspection in June. I was just looking for anything special I could do to make sure she passes. Jersey lift laws are really broad and open to interpretation.

Some states have height restrictions for the headlights.

each state is different. Height limits on bumpers, headlights are some key points. Tires sticking beyond the side of the vehicle may be a big thing on one state and not of any concern in another. You see some pretty interesting rigs on the road here in Michigan.

A state like Hawai`i, you need to get a reconstruction sticker for modifications. In order to get that sticker, you need to show receipts for all the additional items put on the vehicle. Even a change of rims can get you pulled over in Hawai`i if you don't have that sticker.

        Good luck!!
