...But this book deserves a look. Northeast loggers handbook from 1951. Everything you ever wanted to know about logging from the old days. 165 pages of greatness. If I could figure out how to print it off the USDA website I'd put a copy in every Power wagon I own.

It's online in it's entirety. Go back to the link:

      http://naldr.nal.usda.gov/NALWeb/Agr...on=CAT87208315

      and click on:

      "view all pages in browser"

and it should all come up.

Also, I just bought a new book in preparation for the fall hunting season:

      US Army Werewolf Sniper Manual

"This illustrated field manual, prepared by the Department of the Army, provides information needed to train and equip werewolf snipers and to aid them in their werewolf extermination missions and operations.

The werewolf sniper has special abilities, training, and equipment. His job is to deliver highly accurate rifle fire against lycanthropic enemy targets. Werewolf sniping requires knowledge of lycanthrope tracking and the development of basic infantry skills to a high degree of perfection. A werewolf sniper’s training incorporates a wide variety of subjects designed to increase his effectiveness and to ensure his survival in werewolf territory during full moons. The U.S. Army Werewolf Sniper Manual covers:

      * Personnel Selection Criteria * Werewolf Tracking/Countertracking * Werewolf Sniper and Observer Responsibilities * Team Firing Techniques * Werewolf M24 Sniper Weapon System * Werewolf Ammunition * Werewolf Sniper Sighting Devices * Other Equipment * Werewolf Marksmanship and Ballistics * Effects of Weather * Engagement of Moving Werewolf Targets * Camouflage * Movement * Werewolf Sniper Positions * Werewolf Observation * Target Detection and Selection * Range Estimation * Information Records * Mission Preparation (including Moon Cycle Calendar) * Operations: Insertion, Execution, Extraction, and Recovery * Werewolf Sniper Sustainment Training."

OK, gotcha. It works now. That is a really neat book. The other one you mention is very interesting, also. Where did you get that?

It's a fairly new publication from the Department of the Army. No previously available to individuals who were not "silver shooters" or in the training pipeline.
I got it at B&N but it is available from Amazon:

          Also released is:

          U.S. Army Zombie survival skills
