Best method for GI five-gallon plastic water can cleaning / sanitizing.
Best method for GI five-gallon plastic water can cleaning / sanitizing.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the best method to cleaning / sanitizing GI five-gallon plastic water can with the contents for human consumption.?
Thanks,
Clean it out well with dish soap and water, then rinse a lot. As a final rinse bleach heavily diluted will kill anything that remains inside. That is how we always did it before/after any field exercises. You may get a slight bleach taste out of the first jug or 2 of water, but it goes away.
