  • antique car question

This is something that I am curious about,
How many on here have an antique car?
And also what year and make is it?
    Thanks in advance
    Tom

Not sure what is considered a antique but with the ages of these vehicles I could also be considered a antique. About 10 years back I owned a 1926 Model T here is what I currently have in cars a 1952 Plymouth Wagon ,1977 Impala wagon and not sure if it fits the car catagory a 1962 willys wagon.

I don't currently own any Vintage Cars.....but if I was to hit the Powerball this would be my first purchase.....1966 Corvette Stingray Covertible w/ 427 big block. .........Must be the midlife crisis thing kickin' in.....

I thought midlife crisis was around 40-45ish,

if I remember right your going down the other side of the hill @ 50+,

I think you missed the exit for a midlife crisis,

        Look on the bright-side though,

Here's mine. Pretty rough, but it was included in a truck deal. It's mostly all there. Need a hood and the grill sections. All the chrome is in the trunk. I have a 318 for it sitting on an engine stand right now. Have a 833OD tranny, too, but I really want to throw a wideblock in there with Norm's headers and a five speed...

            1938 D8 Trunkback Sedan. It's a Dodge.

Funny you should post a pic of a 66 Stingray. My dad had one when he met my mom. They got married quick (he says she thought he was rich!) and I showed up before they had enough saved to buy a house...
              Bye bye Vette.
He still brings out a pic around my birthday to remind me what he gave up! -grin- I pulled enough stunts that I'm sure at times he'd rather have had the car.

That 38 Dodge is the last year that the Dodge Bothers Emblem appeared on the outside of the car.1939 and after it was Dodge
only. I am considering buying a 1940 Dodge business coupe, which is the reason for asking the question and starting this thread.
I have either had or now have an antique Dodge truck, but never a car
I have wanted a pre-war Dodge for almost half my life (I'm 58)
                I'm guessing its about time...

                  sorry Kev

that Vet is no good. you would be lucky to get two scrawny cheerleaders in that thing. A proper midlife crisis calls for at least 5 cheerleaders.

                  see you in Lee Mass?

Kevin doesn't need cheerleaders with a nice wife like Janice who can bake and cook circles around a whole squad of cheerleaders. And power shifting a 4 speed in that Vette wouldn't do him a bit of good.

                      your right again Ron

No cheerleaders for McChowda, you can only get 1 nurse in that vet. plus her hat will blow away in a convertible!!

db69, i have 1936 plymouth business coupe brochures yours for the price of a smile.
Paul in NY, I'll bring your brochure to Lee mass

                        Tom,
                        I own a 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T.
I pulled the engine out at the end
of '09, as my hometown pals wanted
to "wake it up" a bit for me. Its a
440 cu. in. and we're close to putting
it on a dyno for a pull. They're figuring it'll
be in the 430-440 hp range. I've pulled
the 3.23 gear chunk in favor of a 3.55.
The 727 is rebuilt and sitting on my shop
floor waiting for the engine. I might have
posted pics in the photo section on this
                        site some time ago....

In the meantime, I've been busy with:
                        1961 D200 Utiline
                        1965 D100 long Wide box
                        1965 W200 Power Wagon Utiline
1968 W200 Power Wagon Wide box
                        1968 D100 short Utiline
                        1992 W250 Power Ram
[four of these are currently on the road]

Your '69 was on my "radar" when you had it up
for sale but I figured I had enough going on already.
