My internet provider no longer supports email. They switched everyone over to the "cloud".

So, I just found out that I have lost all of my contacts lists. I have no email addresses for anyone I have sent or received email with over the past 11 years. This was really not their fault as I was the ones pushing the buttons getting all of the POP and SMTP account information set up.
Worse yet, all of my archived emails are gone - 11 years worth. I had archived a LOT of email over the years - some of it was to remind me of things people have asked me to look for. All that is gone.

The irony is that I store all my "important" files on another hard drive that is dedicated to Word documents, .jpg files, etc. These get backed up on a third external hard drive. I guess I never gave any thought to archived email and contacts lists.
So, if anyone has corresponded with me regarding anything important over the past 11 years, and are waiting for me to get back to them, I guess they will have to contact me again with a reminder.

    Lost email addresses

    Clint,
That sounds intensely frustrating! I am curious though as to how this could be. I have all my addresses on my computer(s) so would be in trouble with a hard drive crash but not with anything happening with my ISP. Did you only do email at an online site vs using Mail or OE ? I keep telling myself to print out a hard copy! Did your ISP not provide you with any warning that this was going to happen? I guess I better start learning more about "the cloud."
