Shot in Alaska in 1968. This man was a true survivalist. I recall watching some of his film many years ago.

Outstanding workmanship.

He seems happy in his work. Are we?

our Public Broadcast Station, I make it
a point to watch it. The entire show is
very good.

I agree. It amazed me while watching it that he had to set up the camera to shoot this and get anything done. I especially liked how he made his own hinges for the doors and other things he made let alone the whole cabin.

Yes including making handles for his tools & own utensils. I just love the use of a hand drill. Plus he sharpens things instead of running to lowe's to get another.

And today my boss wanders around the job site yammering on his cell phone while in search of his cordless drill to remove ONE screw.
