Looks like the new CAFE requirements are going to smoke the chance for anymore production domestic V8 vehicles... Sad sad thing... but its apparent that the "pill" has been swallowed by the politicians and the general public doesn't pay enough attention to their vehicles anymore for it to be stopped. Most people I know and work with professionally (Civil Engineer) buy a vehicle, drive it and their only contribution to it is to wash it and put fuel in it.. Beyond that they wait for lights and bells to come on or go off directing them to pay someone else to do it. Granted, working on a car isn't for everyone out there, but what happened to the "car guys" of yester-year. I'm only 28 years old and aside from my close friends, the majority of the public my age thinks that you are cooler if you drive a hybrid than if you have any form of performance vehicle, regardless of make or model. Cars have simply become just another part of life.
