The split-ring wheel/tire article was very informative. The wheel pictured looks just like those on my W500 & W600.

Yes it was but as stated it's not some thing everyone should tackle. I've broken down a few myself and it's all work. Having used a sledge hammer for years driving stakes for concrete forms I could beat a tire off the bead without over strikes on the rim. If that tire hasn't been off in years it only compounds the work removing the tire. Having the proper tools and working as safely as you can is key to this type of work.

I don't plan on tackling a tire change myself. I don't have the tools. If I buy tires, the dealer can install them.

I can't even break loose the lug nuts haha.
