  • Need a good Auto Trans shop in SE MI

Well my 2996 Dodge 3500 lost the trans today with only 3 miles to go before getting to the kids house. Was pulling the 5th wheel camper and have 101k miles on the ttruck.

Now I need a good close (Howell MI) shop and a well built transmission and tripple clutch converter.

    I drive a DODGE, not a ram!

    Thanks,

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

I have an Ultimate Duty transmission being built by HTS in Lowell MI with Billet Flex Plate, Input Shaft, Tripple Disc Torque Converter etc... and the Local DodgeDealer, Fowlerville MI do the swap. If parts arrive as expected I hope to be back on the road Friday. Wish us luck !

Hope it all works out Will. You remember me saying the TW wanted to roll on it's own once I was on the trailer. Well with the new axle shaft and U joints in place I tried to do a test drive. Keyword here TRIED. Seems I grenaded the transfer case too. I have low range but no high range with out a nasty grinding noise. Looks like that spare TC will be going in before Iowa now. This TC has made a clunking sound from the day I got it on the road maybe that will go away now. Hey at least you've got a place to stay with your camper.

Oh yikes! Sorry to hear about that. Will be interesting to se what you find inside. True the camper beats the cost of a hotel, but if id left it at home the truck might still have a working trans, at least till i tried to get everythg to Iowa.
