My day job keeps me traveling a LOT... I mean a lot. I do bridge inspection and repair design work for a subconsulting firm that has a contract with Virginia DOT and the FHWA as well. The FHWA contract is regarding their Bridge Inventory in the National Parks, and some military installations, unfortunately it doesn't inculde the National Forests as then I would be traveling even more, but to more remote places, which is the kind of work I like.
Anyways, here is a video from our May trip to the Grand Canyon to inspect a few trail bridges, including the two big Suspension bridges near Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Bright Angel Creek and convergence of the Bright Angel Trail, and Kaibab Trail.
