I have discovered a new probability ratio, to wit:

The number of large trucks or semi’s poking along nose to tail in the right hand lane, increases exponentially in direct proportion to the proximity of the off ramp or transition you wish to use.

Now all I need is a huge federal grant to study the phenomenon and to publish a lengthy and detailed but inconclusive report. All that quantifying and specifying is likely to require a great deal of our tax dollars to unravel. I just have to decide which organization with which to apply. I’m thinking US DOT although the NTSB might be a soft touch.
Later I can apply for another grant to determine why the first study was inconclusive.

I plan to largely copy the application of the guy who received $150,000.00 for a study into the aerodynamics of the open faced jam sandwich and its propensity to land jam side down, and how it relates to the strawberry growers in the U.S.
