I tried but i have no clue how to do this.
I saw no place that could enter my number .
How do I know /find my number .
edit - jumping up and down while typing
Oh I need to enter the number in the imfo thingie which I access by going to the edit profile spot.
All I need is my #....... maybe I wait till my next PWA .
Have you considered editing dead threads ? Say no access in one year or 18 months and poof it is gone ?

Bruce, your subscriber number should be on the address label found on the back page of PWA... above your name and to the right of the expiration date.Originally posted by Bruce in BC View PostI saw no place that could enter my number .

I think you speak of conserving database space. My technical guru, vbfadmin, is very emphatic about that, given that this is an open ended process in which we engage. It is an accumulating database. Photos being a part of that, and contributing to the decision making process you are seeing.Originally posted by Bruce in BC View PostI saw no place that could enter my number .

Back to your idea. Thinking out loud, there are likely some threads that may not garner a post, but still yield good information to a reader doing research.
I am confident that there are threads that lack any real merit or value, and they could be deleted. I need to have a look at that, and it likely would have to occur on a thread by thread basis, with me simply reading them and making a decision.Power Wagon Advertiser monthly magazine, editor & publisher.

Dead threads ........
If the thread is dead and has no posts over a given period of time and it has not been viewed over a given period of time it should be a candidate for being removed .
Jake's Back Road Thread is worth keeping because it chronicles a history of what is around and when . It gets updated in flits and flurries.
A thread showing some guys new M37 that has not been updated in a year should be tossed . The same post in a thread dedicated to M37s would most likely remain because the thread is being updated with new content .
Does it make sense to combine some threads ? Mels 1/2 to Carryall thread could be combined with the thread that seems to be sucking up a fair bit of computer space ,you know the one with the 24000 views . the reason i ask is i suspect the more traffic a site gets the easier it would be for you to generate some cash.
Not sure what else would help - lower res photos most likely .
take care

I vote a definite NO on that one. Most pictures from a camera can be reduced down to 125k and still look ok. If I scan an old document to post I usually can't get it that small without it looking terrible. I have found ways to help reduce the file size such as lightening the background, but I still end up cutting out just the relevant info. I have also cut scans into pieces and posted all the pieces.Originally posted by Bruce in BC View PostNot sure what else would help - lower res photos most likely .
There is a way to post larger than 125k photos but nobody will let me in on the secret.
