Well, I'm drowning now! I just trailered in a '67 W200 from Charleston. I'm sure I've got Power Wagon fever! This one is in better shape overall than my other one. I have to go back this weekend and get the 383, hood, and door. The owner was going to take it to the crusher. He just wanted it out of his garage. I insisted that he at least take what he would have gotten at the crusher. He reluctantly took it. It was on Sweptline.org last month. It was listed as "Free Truck". There was someone who wanted it from up around Pittsburgh, but they backed out. Their loss is my gain. I'll put pics on tomorrow evening. Mike

You've got a nice [and hard to find] stock light duty rear bumper
on that blue W. Good find!

Well... I took the 383, transmission, and transfer case to a local shop for inspection, repair, and a rebuild. He said the transmission was tight and ok as he tried to move the shaft. The transfer case seemed fine but he will tear in to them both. I have to pick up rocker arms and 2 rocker arm shafts. Anyone have any ideas or preferences? I want only to bump the motor up a bit. 10 thousandths is what I believe he said would do. Also any ideas on a replacement 4 barrel carb would help. Thanks, Mike

I bought a grinder today and worked out on the frame up front. It did a good job but is going to take some time. I should get my motor back by the end of the week and will post pics. I have to get the steering wheel out and take the cab off. Anyone know who re-chromes badges/ emblems?

My first thought would be to find a carburetor just like what you have, or rebuild what you have.

Your comment including .010 over, you are meaning cylinder diameter? The typical, first oversize is .030 in.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Right... I only wanted to up size in moderation... I've already bought a new Holley carb and found the correct intake manifold for the 383. The one that came with the truck ended up being for a 440. That was one of the various parts I found in the bed when I got it.

I'm still short one "200" fender emblem.

                            Thanks for the feedback, Mike

I've been working on removing the bolts holding the bed to the frame. I have 2 out so far. I've been using a grinder, B-Blaster spray, and a punch. Slow work...

Well, the bolts are history now. I just need to take the bolts out of the brackets holding the rear bumper and the bed should come right off. I took the cab and dropped it off to be sand blasted sometime next week. Making some progress...
