Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Now why would anyone want to go to Iowa for a truck rally? You'll have nothing but a bunch of guys with a lot of old trucks talking about said trucks. You'll have to put up with good food, meet people from accross the US and even some outside the country and make life long friendships. Then there are the trailrides, the teeter board, the repair sessions, the weiner roast, the Tshirts, the people, the food, the parade and did I mention the trucks. Now why would anybody be interested in that? ..... Well me for one since 2001. See in 2010?

There is a Super 8 right across from the fairgrounds a Best Western down the street. Get reservations in early if you even think you're going. You can cancel later up to a week or two before. You can camp at the back of the fairgrounds like some do for a 4 day party. There is a county campground a few short miles away too. We can do a convoy on the way out next June if you'd like. Just a heads up the RamchargerCentral group is voting right now on going to the Badlands in Attica, IN for their big Ram Jam on Labor Day weekend. I might be roped into helping organize the event.

                Too Early??

Is it too early to think about the 25th Rally.....the 20th was my first and the 25th will probably be the next one I'll attend...hopefully with a new truck and trailer setup with PW in tow!

Having never attended this event before, are registrations being accepted? and if so where do I sign up at? I am going to plan on attending and hopefully see lots of Dodge trucks and meet a bunch of new friends and see a bunch of old friends too.

It's still early to register but keep checking with VPW at http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/annual-rally.htm There is planty of time to get in with the early registration deadline the end of May usually. It will be here before we know it. Gordon has the form in the PWA around the March issue too. We'll have you on the teeter board with your truck.

                        Reservations

I just made reservations at the Super 8. The receptionist said there were several rooms left as of now. They won't last long, though. Mike

                          Schedule of events...

Hi... I'd like to know what typically goes on the first day of the rally. I see that it will be June 9th this year. I want to be there on the 9th but the school board extended the school year . The last day for teachers is now June 9th.

                          Also, what to bring?

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to the PW Rally!

                          Thanks, Mike

The registration form is in the March issue of the PWA also. Looks like we won't have to deal with the Best Western food this year for a change on Saturday night.
