My cousin raises about 21,000 feeder hogs per year. I may only get out to Iowa once a year but I make darn sure I have a pork dinner in Red Oak, Iowa each and every visit.

So I sent my copied registration form via "snail mail" last week.
You would think They (vpw) could make this process a lot easier by doing it on line
Via a on line form with a submit payment link?
Or am I missing something here?
I'm not the brightest bulb when it comes to navigating PC's and pdf programs that I can't do much with.
However they do a great Job of hosting a Great Rally, and I am patently waiting for June and that "Chop"
Oh, and to visit with all my friends and some new ones of course!!

Just from running my own website with the focused assistance of a really capable tech guy, yes, it is possible to do what you describe, but to implement it for one, short term application could be quite expensive. I think VPW does not have it set up that way simply because the cost of implementing it. Doing a money transaction on line would be the cheaper part of the equation. It would be the integration of all the registration information gathering that would be the complex part. It would be a mechanism of some complexity dedicated to just that function.Originally posted by Tom Petroff View PostSo I sent my copied registration form via "snail mail" last week.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Thanks Gordon.
I just figured they already have an online store, with secure payment options,
Add a form that resets itself and it would be so much easier.
But Somehow I thought it was not that Simple.

As usual Gordon has hit the nail on the head, we did discuss having a live online form but the cost wasn't justified, especially since we were trying to make the rally more affordable to attend this year. There are several ways to register, you could print the form off and snail-mail it or fax it, or copy & paste the form into a E-mail or just call us to register.
See you in June !

Hello everyone,
I have a 1957 Powerwagon but it will not be ready for the rally in Iowa. I have never been to the rally before but will be going anyway. Is it perferred that you bring a powerwagon or is there allot of stuff to do even though I will not be able to bring my powerwagon? Thanks

There are lots of people who attend the rally without a truck. Yes it's better if you have yours there but all you have to do is ask if you can ride with someone else. I had a young couple from California ride with me in my TW and they had a blast. I've had others ride along with the same result. It's like a big family reunion all you have to do is ask. You're only a stranger for as long as it takes to say your name. If you can't get your truck to this one you can make the next one. And you WILL go again.Originally posted by 77power View PostHello everyone,

Print to raffle off at rally
Again this year I wanted to provide a print to be raffled off at the rally to benefit Camp Courageous of Iowa. I contacted Jan Archer Nutting about producing this print. She not only agreed to produce this print but also frame, mat it AND provide it. This print is 12x20, and it is framed to 18x26. White mat, black metal gallery frame. A buck a ticket and the drawing will be at the Famous Iowa Chop Dinner at the fairgrounds. The jannutgalleries.com watermark not on print. Thanks Jan
