I couldnt find a hard fast scientific answer to the pink nose issue. without doing an experiment with controls, we may never know. lots of different types of plastic bowls out there. who knows? the simple act of replacing old plastic with new plastic might even produce results. Its simply something that caught my curiosity a few years ago. however the owners who have seen the pigment return after going stainless suggest that there is something worth investigating. on the other hand owners who have always used SS have experienced the pink nose syndrome. I'm just gathering evidence looking for a corrolation
