I'm very pleased myself. I would have gladly kept them , but seeing the joy of those kids and the dogs I was happy to return them. It must be pretty tough to be uprooted from their school and friends only to find out that their dogs have run away.

I started out in mixed practice, but as the area here became less agricultural and more suburban, evolved to small animal.
I have heard of Baxter Black and understand he is funny. If I am at a meeting sometime with Baxter as a speaker I will try to attend.
Some of my favorite memories are farm calls and all the adventures, both humorous or nerve wracking, that came with them.

Thanks for sharing this Bob. We seem to be lost animal central around here too (well make that lost people too. We generally get at least one person a week stopping in for directions).

Best story yet was the Boxer that went on a jaunt from the other side of the county (about 15 miles) and ended up with us. We would have kept him if his owners hadn't came for him (chipped too - can't recommend it highly enough).

Great looking Labs, I'm guessing the one on the right is the Matriarch. They look healthy and well loved.

We've always had a knack for picking up strays as well, cats, dogs, kids and a horse or two.
