This weekend I purchased a set of CD's of the 1960's TV show Cannonball. This was a show produced in Canada about two truckers driving a GMC (Cannonball) cabover tractor. It was interesting watching this and seeing all the old vehicles and you could actually tell that the GMC had an inline Detroit engine. I don't think the boys made much money trucking though.
Also picked up the complete series Route 66. This series was actually filmed here in my home town of Carlisle, Pa. I remember when they rolled into town. I begged my mom to take me to see Buzz (George Maharis) and Todd (Martin Milner) and their 1962 Corvette. We actually got up and real close to see them film. It's funny to watch them and know that I was there on the set in 1962 watching them film.
Anybody remember these old shows?
