Slightly over $1,900 later I have a new ECM and it runs fine. They wanted to charge me $3,200 for the ECM, the throttle position sensor, and the camshaft location sensor.
I said I did not want to buy every part that it set a code for. I think in this case they were not just bubbling over with integrity, if you get my meaning.

Gordon,
Think if you were someone who was not mechanical and thus could not discern what was needed and what was padding. No wonder women especially feel that they are taken advantage of by auto service "advisors".
On another note, have you had any brake line rust through issues. I had two places "go" so replaced all my lines this month.
Bruce,
One of these days we will meet up again. Are you going to the Iowa rally?

Before all of this I was completing a major "Hunny-Dew" list, new bath, repair/rebuild three of our second floor windows. Finished the last window Monday morning.
On another note, Christmas shopping is in the can, lucky for me, the children are grown ups now.

Brake lines, yep,in the last six months I've replaced them all on my low mileage '98 12V.Pneumonia,after age 50 seems to become very prevalent.Killed more than a few good men,Jim Henson(Muppets) to name one.Even if you do end up going to the Doctor and you waited to long the Meds won't help, there is a point of no return.
