I am a lot better, but not 100% yet.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Glad to hear that. Keep popping the meds to make sure. I told Dave Butler you were feeling puny when I saw him Friday at VPW. His 57 #1 is now in my hands for the finish work. Hope you're well by Christmas.

Sorry to hear that Bruce. I hope you're feeling better soon.

            Bruce,
Sorry you are sick. Hope you will be feeling better by Xmas. When are you heading back to Ballmer?

Gordon, hope that you are continuing to improve. How did your truck (2001) problem turn out?

Slightly over $1,900 later I have a new ECM and it runs fine. They wanted to charge me $3,200 for the ECM, the throttle position sensor, and the camshaft location sensor.

I said I did not want to buy every part that it set a code for. I think in this case they were not just bubbling over with integrity, if you get my meaning.

              It runs fine now.

                I'm Better

Not sure when I'll make it up to Bawla'mer? The last time was for my brother's ashes in April, that was a tough visit?

                  Gordon,
Think if you were someone who was not mechanical and thus could not discern what was needed and what was padding. No wonder women especially feel that they are taken advantage of by auto service "advisors".
On another note, have you had any brake line rust through issues. I had two places "go" so replaced all my lines this month.
                  Bruce,
One of these days we will meet up again. Are you going to the Iowa rally?

Yes, enormously better, thank you. Still on a second course of antibiotics, however. In retrospect, I think I was struggling with something for months and did not realize it.

I am not aware of any line rust, but I suspect I should examine them closely. From the reports of others, the liquid road salt substance used now is really hard on brake lines.

I want to make it to the Iowa Rally, also to Grave's Mountain at least once. I am planning on the Ripkin Rally in April too. Antibiotic's, Yogurt & lots of fluid.

Before all of this I was completing a major "Hunny-Dew" list, new bath, repair/rebuild three of our second floor windows. Finished the last window Monday morning.

On another note, Christmas shopping is in the can, lucky for me, the children are grown ups now.

Brake lines, yep,in the last six months I've replaced them all on my low mileage '98 12V.Pneumonia,after age 50 seems to become very prevalent.Killed more than a few good men,Jim Henson(Muppets) to name one.Even if you do end up going to the Doctor and you waited to long the Meds won't help, there is a point of no return.

I am on my third course of antibiotics and had another X-ray yesterday. It showed there is still some pneumonia. I have never had an experience like this.

As I pass more birthdays I've come to the conclusion that "growing old gracefully" is a complete myth. Hang in there Gordon we're all pulling for you. Another great issue this month I just got mine today.
