I was planning on getting a diesel club cab and modifying a crew cab to fit the club cab chasis. But I just couldn't let this crew cab go. So now I will have to save up a a little to find cummins donor!

Thanks for the help guys! I will keep an eye out for some more crews.

          Thanks KRB64,
There are several crews on the GSA site. Most of the 81-85 variety, but some older. You have to look at every Dodge listing though because they don't always put "crew" in the title or description and sometimes they have something listed as "ram" "utility" "D" series, etc....For some reason the trucks located in Ky have a starting bid of $1000. None of those were crews.

Since I got a W500, I am mainly looking for a 72-79 "D" series longbed crew, preferably with 4-speed set-up. I will still take a "W" series 4-speed truck & just use my 8 ft bed for my conversion.

Saw those KY trucks, not quit sure why they started at $1,000 - thats crazy! I'm interested for a good body but not at that price!

So now bigmac, captfrankie & andyp have all gotten crew cabs.

I guess that leaves krb64 & me still searching.

I have located some within a few hundred miles, but I gotta get things ship-shape before I buy something else.

Sounds like a GSA truck. Actually I have found a gentlemen in Tx who has about a 1/2 dozen late 70's crew 4x4's in running condition. These are also ex military/forrestry trucks. They are a bit pricey, but appear to be turn key. I believe his site is militaryvehicles dot com maybe. I will post a link to his site.

Alabama isn't too far, but I have to get my W500 home first & its closer.

I've seen him at the Iowa Rally.

Prices aren't terrible but not as cheap as GSA.

I like "Big John". Odd name for a truck he refers to as "her" though...

How far is that from you?

1st thing is I have to get my last toy purchase home. 2nd thing is I am eyeing a W600 bucket truck that's out of state. 3rd thing is my daily driver (brand x) is in the shop again. 4th thing is Mother's Day......So i am tied up at the moment.

Those crews in Waxahachie don't appear to be going anywhere quickly.
